The Story is about love, pure and simple undiluted, unconditional love, the way everybody wishes they could be loved. What I hope to get across with this story is 'why do we save the best till last?' Why do we not express this love everyday with those close to us, why is it that we save it all till the last moment?' This Film shows what is great about life and love. 'Love Always xx' is now a realization of a year's preparation, fine tuning the story and 3 months discussing the mood, the feel and what is required during the shoot with our Director of Photography, Steve Williams. What Steve brought to this story was his knowledge of colours, textures and lighting the mood of the shot. He took great pride with every shot, working the lighting, frame and feel that we wanted to express with painstaking patience and precision. Steve also worked very closely with make-up and wardrobe adding subtle layers to the overall story. Further to this we worked really hard to get the feel for this couple's relationship through their surroundings in the film. Even within their house it was important to not have any modern day appliances, the look and feel is very organic, down to the fact that the entire house is made out of wood, thus portraying the peace that this couple have. The rehearsal with the actor's was paramount, not only to work intently on the characters but also to develop trust with themselves and with me 'The Director'. It was very important to have the actors trust so they could have a complete sense of freedom, which they required, as the film had a total of four words of dialogue. With little dialogue they needed to rely more on their physicality in order to demonstrate the subtleties of their love and furthermore take us along with them on this story.
